Community energy in Wokingham Borough
Local energy, owned by local people
A Community Energy group developing community-owned renewable energy for the benefit of people across Wokingham Borough.
What we do
Owned by local people
Our aim is simple: to develop renewable energy projects, like solar, battery storage and heat pumps, that are owned by local people, for local people.
In our early days
We're working out what our first projects might be and building the team to get everything running.
Built with our community
This only works with people behind it: neighbours, local businesses, schools, and anyone who wants to help tackle climate change, reduce energy costs and strengthen our communities across Wokingham Borough.
What we've achieved
See all our workWe became a member of Community Energy England
Wokingham's brand new community energy organisation is officially a member of Community Energy England.
Our inaugural meeting at The Rose Inn
On 2 July we held our inaugural meeting at The Rose Inn, which also marked the establishment of Wokingham Energy Collective.
